Job Overview
Visa Corporate IT (CIT) is undergoing a major transformation to become a cutting-edge engineering organization. We prioritize customer experience and end-user support while implementing best practices in application support. This role requires a highly organized Application Support Manager to lead a cross-functional, multi-regional team while delivering high-level (L2) support. The ideal candidate will troubleshoot issues, enhance service delivery, and work closely with various stakeholders to maintain and improve system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Team Management & Leadership
- Lead and manage a diverse cross-functional team spread across multiple global regions.
- Mentor team members, helping them create required artifacts for process improvement.
- Assign tasks, estimate work efforts, track progress, and ensure smooth project execution.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, efficiency, and continuous learning within the team.
🔹 Application Support & Troubleshooting
- Respond promptly to user inquiries and issues via email or ServiceNow (L1 & L2 support).
- Troubleshoot Appian functionalities and escalate complex issues to higher technical teams.
- Document troubleshooting steps and solutions in the knowledge base for future reference.
- Maintain and optimize Appian application configurations and process flows.
🔹 System Integration & Maintenance
- Manage and support integrations with Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications.
- Conduct regular health checks, performance tuning, and maintenance tasks for applications.
- Perform IAM internal audit remediation and certificate renewals.
- Monitor and restart failed jobs using Control-M on Hadoop, Pentaho, and SQL Server.
🔹 Process Improvement & Change Management
- Identify and implement process automation & optimization strategies.
- Work with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve system efficiency.
- Participate in IT Disaster Recovery exercises to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with storage, middleware, network, and database teams for issue resolution.
🔹 Infrastructure & Security Compliance
- Oversee infrastructure and application upgrades for on-premise and cloud SaaS platforms.
- Work closely with security teams to ensure compliance with IT governance policies.
- Implement robust security assessments, change management, and release protocols.
🔹 Hybrid Work Model
- This role follows a hybrid work policy, requiring employees to work 2-3 days from the office (determined by leadership/site requirements). Employees are expected to spend at least 50% of their working hours in the office, based on business needs.
Required Qualifications & Skills
✅ Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, OR
- 2+ years of experience with an Advanced Degree (Master’s, MBA, JD, MD), OR
- PhD holders with no work experience may also apply.
- 8+ years of overall relevant work experience preferred.
✅ Technical Skills:
- Strong expertise in Application Support & Troubleshooting (L1 & L2).
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Appian application configurations.
- Proficiency in SQL, Control-M on Hadoop, Pentaho, and Middleware.
- Ability to diagnose system issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions.
- Familiarity with security compliance, internal audit processes, and IAM remediation.
- Experience in infrastructure & application upgrades (on-prem & cloud SaaS).
✅ Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to mentor and guide cross-functional teams for effective collaboration.
