Role Overview: Financial Planning & Analysis – Senior Manager
Finance Organization is evolving in various projects in this company. We’re developing a world-class Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) unit with the help of experienced persons who good in innovation, data-driven decision-making, and leadership. As a Senior Manager, you’ll have to go beyond the numbers — you’ll become a strategic storyteller, a trusted business advisor, and a catalyst for change in one go.
Key Responsibilities in Verizon
Strategic Financial Planning
- Own and communicate with other personnel financial planning cycles: including Actuals, Business Plan, Commitment View, and Best View of process.
- Lead monthly executive reviews and financial reporting presentations in the process.
- Provide financial insights for pricing decisions, product development, product packaging, product launches, and strategic initiatives in various products.
Analysis & Forecasting
- Evaluate business performance through in-depth variance analysis by the employee, KPI assessment, and trend identification should be completed.
- Interpret results from the analysis to highlight risks and opportunities, and present actionable recommendations to leadership in response.
Business Partnering
- Serve as a functional finance expert for Business Units in process.
- Develop costing and profitability models which are in action to support strategic decisions.
- Offer insights on capital allocation, investment appraisals, and resource planning for development of process.
Subject Matter Expertise
- Address complex business issues to managers, and design action plans for improvement of production.
- Champion continuous improvement in financial processes and systems which are in action.
Communication & Influence
- Present findings from the analysis clearly and persuasively to evaluate all levels of leadership.
- Develop and deliver the narratives that connect the numbers to Verizon’s strategic vision of company
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- 6+ years of relevant finance or FP&A experience, which may include military or specialized training after the onboarding.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Project Management experience in cross-functional settings from various fields.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MBA, Finance, Accounting, Economics) from well-known university.
- Professional certification such as CPA or CMA needed
- Experience in the telecommunications or technology industry will be must.
- High proficient in financial systems:
- Essbase, Hyperion Planning, Smart View, Hyperion Strategic Finance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to learn more skills:
- Build strategic business cases proficiently.
- Identify trends and patterns in the work.
- Offer data-backed recommendations when needed.
- In-depth understanding of:
- GAAP, FASB, SEC requirements.
- Tax reporting and IFRS compliance fulfilled.
- Demonstrated success in leading large, complex financial projects when in want to be completed.
Work Arrangement
This is a hybrid-based process. You’ll be expected to work from an assigned Verizon office at least 8 days per month should be completed, as scheduled by your manager in process. The rest of your work may be completed remotely on fulfilling terms and conditions.
Compensation & Rewards in Verizon
Salary:
- $103,000 – $180,000 per year, based on experience and location candidate choose.
- Incentive-based role is given with performance-linked pay.
