💼 About the Role: System Engineer – L1

Wipro is hiring a talented System Engineer – L1 to join its IT Support and Infrastructure team in Noida. The role primarily involves remote technical support, issue resolution for client operating systems, and managing technical escalations efficiently.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

🎯 Customer & Technical Support

  • Address and resolve technical issues related to Windows OS, Outlook, Teams, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, VDI, and VPN.
  • Respond to incoming support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system.
  • Deliver prompt, empathetic support to irate or distressed customers.
  • Maintain professional etiquette while handling critical incidents.

🔧 Troubleshooting & Escalation

  • Identify and resolve first-level IT issues using available diagnostic tools and SOPs.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate L2/L3 teams or supervisors.
  • Maintain logs and document troubleshooting steps taken.

📊 Knowledge Management

  • Contribute to internal documentation and create SOPs for newly encountered issues.
  • Stay updated with Wipro’s internal knowledge base and upcoming IT trends.
  • Recognize and document recurring issues and report patterns to management.

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

🎓 Educational Qualifications

  • UG: B.Tech/B.E. in any specialization.
  • PG: Any Postgraduate degree (Preferred but not mandatory).

🧠 Experience Required

  • Minimum 1 year to maximum 4 years in a similar technical support or system engineering role.

💡 Key Skills & Competencies

⭐ Must-Have Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • In-depth understanding of Windows OS troubleshooting
  • Remote desktop support experience (Citrix/VDI)
  • Basic knowledge of VPN, Outlook, Active Directory, and MS Office

  • Experience with Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop environments
  • Strong grasp of system administration fundamentals
  • Prior exposure to IT ticketing systems (ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, etc.)
