About the SAP Team:
Paytm’s SAP Support team plays a pivotal role in managing and supporting our ERP systems, ensuring smooth operations across multiple business functions. The team’s efforts are critical to the ongoing success of our organization, facilitating everything from basic support to sophisticated implementation of new processes for all Paytm entities. As part of the SAP team, you will work on a combination of existing ERP support and be actively involved in the implementation of new processes, tools, and methodologies to meet evolving business demands.
As part of the SAP – HANA (FICO) team, you will focus on maintaining high standards of functionality and performance across SAP systems, as well as leading initiatives to address current challenges, optimize performance, and streamline processes. You will work alongside business leaders, technology teams, and consulting experts to create high-impact solutions that drive Paytm’s success.
Role Overview:
As the SAP – HANA (FICO) Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation, support, and optimization of SAP FICO modules. Your primary responsibility will be managing the full cycle of SAP FICO activities across all Paytm entities, ensuring seamless integration and minimizing disruptions to day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:

User Interaction and Ticket Resolution:
- Act as the first line of contact for resolving any issues raised by users, providing prompt and efficient solutions.
- Manage the ticket lifecycle from resolution to closure, ensuring tickets are handled within SLAs and that issues are resolved to user satisfaction.

Period-End Activities:
- Assist users during the month-end and year-end processes to ensure proper closure and reconciliations across all SAP FICO sub-modules.
- Provide guidance and support for all financial closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reporting.

Functional Specifications and ABAP Collaboration:
- Prepare functional specifications for SAP development requests and enhancements, collaborating with ABAP developers to create customized solutions.
- Work closely with the development team to test and ensure the success of implemented features.

Project Management:
- Lead and attend weekly meetings with SAP and core team members to discuss the progress of ongoing projects.
- Proactively track the performance of key projects, identifying any bottlenecks and resolving them to meet deadlines.
- Ensure the project objectives are being met efficiently and effectively.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with various business and technology teams within Paytm to identify common bottlenecks and potential improvement areas.

FICO Sub-Module Expertise:
- Oversee SAP FICO sub-modules including General Ledger (FI-GL), Accounts Payable (FI-AP), Accounts Receivable (FI-AR), and Asset Accounting (FI-AA).
- Ensure the integration of FI-MM & FI-SD modules to provide a seamless financial management system.

- Lead initiatives to continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of SAP processes across Paytm.
- Introduce innovative tools, methods, and solutions to optimize SAP FICO functionalities.

Experience:

- Proven experience in the design, configuration, troubleshooting, and support of SAP modules, particularly within the financial sector.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of SAP FICO sub-modules, integration of FI-MM & FI-SD modules.
- Expertise in functional specification creation and the ability to manage complex development cycles.
- Experience in handling period-end financial processes, month-end close, and year-end activities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and drive results.
Education:
- A degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related fields.
- Professional certifications such as CA, MBA in finance, or B.Tech are preferred but not mandatory.
