Do you thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and enjoy working independently? PepsiCo is hiring a Sales Rep – Relief Large Grocery/Mass Merch in Munster, Indiana, where you’ll be the face of our brand in local grocery chains and mass merchandise stores.
This role is labor-intensive and includes lifting, stocking, merchandising, and selling PepsiCo’s beverage products while building strong relationships with store management. You’ll work directly with existing clients and also scout for new business, all while managing product orders, displays, and promotions.

👥 Who You’ll Work With
As a Sales Relief Representative, you’ll be a key player in our field sales team. You’ll work with:
- Store managers and retail staff
- Route delivery drivers
- Warehouse and distribution teams
- PepsiCo area sales and merchandising managers
You’ll also work independently for much of your shift, making decisions that directly affect sales and customer satisfaction.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
As a Sales Rep – Relief, you’ll be responsible for:
✅ Sales Execution & Growth
- Grow sales volume and market share in assigned accounts
- Increase product distribution and shelf space allocation
- Solicit new business opportunities to drive revenue
✅ Store Support
- Take inventory, place product orders, and track delivery needs
- Merchandise and rotate stock on shelves, coolers, and vending units
- Set up displays and promotional materials like signage and banners
✅ Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong rapport with store personnel
- Provide world-class service and resolve any customer issues
- Understand and fulfill customer needs with proactive communication
✅ Physical Demands & In-Store Support
- Lift, load, push, and pull cases weighing 20-45 lbs
- Navigate 10-12 hour shifts involving bending, reaching, and squatting
- Must be available for weekend or holiday work, as needed
🎯 Qualifications & Requirements
🎓 Basic Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license
- Must have reliable personal transportation
- Must have proof of auto insurance
📚 Preferred (Helpful) Experience
- Previous work in consumer product sales
- Familiarity with the beverage industry and competitor brands
- Use of power equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, U-boats, hand trucks)
- Experience with handheld mobile tech for inventory and order processing
- Skills in inventory management, business-to-business selling, and financial calculations
