Job Overview
We are looking for a talented Master Data Management Analyst to join our team at Cognizant. In this role, you’ll play a critical part in developing, implementing, and maintaining Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of customer purchase orders. As part of our team, you will work closely with various stakeholders to troubleshoot issues, optimize data management processes, and support smooth order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Master Data Management Analyst, your main duties will include:
- EDI System Development & Maintenance: Manage the implementation and ongoing maintenance of EDI systems to ensure smooth operations for the shipping department.
- Data Processing & Troubleshooting: Monitor, validate, and update EDI documents, including invoices, purchase orders, and shipping notices. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or errors that occur during data transmission.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely and accurate exchange of data and document management.
- Order Processing: Process intercompany orders from various sources and platforms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Reporting & Metrics: Regularly monitor and report on order status, performance, and metrics, while maintaining accurate records for audit purposes.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to order processing, such as missing data, inventory shortages, or invoice errors.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Educational Background: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-6 years of experience in Master Data Management or as an EDI Analyst, particularly in SAP or other legacy applications.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with SAP, SharePoint, or similar financial applications.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with CPMS and other legacy systems for order management.
- Experience in pricing analysis and credit review processes.
- Knowledge of data management tools like Seeburger.
