Job Overview

The Executive-F&B Controls is a critical role responsible for supporting the financial, operational, and strategic planning functions of Marriott’s food and beverage (F&B) department. This role will help maximize revenue, improve cost efficiencies, and ensure compliance with financial regulations while maintaining the highest hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Financial Analysis and Strategic Planning

  • Analyze financial data and market trends to support decision-making.
  • Forecast sales against expenses to develop annual budget plans.
  • Monitor actual sales performance and compare it with projections.
  • Develop new business opportunities and strategies for cost reduction.
  • Maintain financial records, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  1. Budgeting and Cost Control

  • Assist in the preparation and monitoring of budgets.
  • Analyze budget variances and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure appropriate financial controls to manage business risks.
  • Implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.

  • Ensure compliance with standard and local operating procedures (SOPs and LSOPs).
  • Document financial transactions accurately.
  • Ensure taxes are filed and accounted for in compliance with government regulations.
  • Prepare and present financial reports for executive management.
  1. Leadership and Team Management

  • Provide financial expertise to senior management to enable successful execution of brand initiatives.
  • Lead the accounting team, ensuring clear communication and goal alignment.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and train team members.
  • Encourage a culture of integrity, accountability, and financial discipline.
  1. Inventory and Cost Management

  • Monitor inventory control processes for food and beverage operations.
  • Evaluate supplier pricing and contract negotiations to optimize costs.
  • Ensure proper record-keeping for purchases and expenditures.
  1. Audit and Risk Management

  • Oversee internal, external, and regulatory audit processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and corporate policies.
  • Monitor and implement financial risk mitigation strategies.
  1. Stakeholder and Client Management

  • Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders, including investors, corporate teams, and franchise owners.
  • Understand and address ownership concerns while aligning financial goals with business priorities.
  • Present financial reports and business updates to senior leadership.

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 0-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, or F&B cost control in the hospitality industry (preferred).
  • Fresh graduates with strong analytical and financial skills are encouraged to apply.
