Job Responsibilities
As an Associate – Procurement, your responsibilities will include:

Quality Evaluation & Material Testing
- Evaluate fabric test reports and garment test reports for assigned categories.
- Review and share feedback on development samples and pre-production samples.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure the timely submission of pre-production samples and applicable test reports.
- Maintain records and documentation of all approved samples and relevant test reports.

Supplier & Inventory Management
- Review and enhance the quality inspection process for incoming materials.
- Provide procurement support for made-to-measure uniforms.
- Develop and implement the Supplier Quality Score Card to assess and improve supplier performance.
- Conduct regular supplier meetings to discuss areas of improvement and drive efficiency.

Coordination with Internal & External Stakeholders
- Assist with internal and external audits by ensuring all documentation and information are accurate and up-to-date.
- Work closely with warehouse quality inspection teams to ensure materials meet quality standards and GRN (Goods Receipt Note) completion is on track.
- Conduct regular warehouse visits to inspect materials and monitor adherence to procurement SOPs.

Procurement & Purchase Order (PO) Management
- Assist in the generation and reconciliation of purchase orders with suppliers, planners, and warehouse teams.
- Ensure timely resolution of accounts payable invoice discrepancies and variances.
- Liaise with account payable and warehouse teams to resolve any invoice-related queries.

Process Improvement & Reporting
- Regularly analyze and improve incoming material inspection processes.
- Prepare and circulate periodic reports related to sample development and approval processes.
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulatory requirements for fabric and leather quality assessments.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Educational Qualification
- Graduate or Postgraduate in Textile Engineering, Fashion Design, or a related field.
Professional Skills & Knowledge
- Basic knowledge of Quality Inspection and Quality Control Processes for fabric and leather.
- Experience in product specification development and supplier quality assessment.
Work Experience
- Relevant Experience: 2-4 years in incoming material quality control, especially in textile products.
- Experience in supplier negotiations, procurement operations, and inventory management.
Technical & IT Skills
- MS Office Suite: Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Advanced Excel Skills for data analysis and reporting.
- SAP MM Module & ARIBA (P2P & S2P) for procurement and supplier management.
- Corel Draw and other relevant merchandising software.
Certifications & Standards Knowledge
- Familiarity with ISO/ASTM standards for fabric and leather quality assessment.
