Overview
Google is seeking an experienced and insightful Executive Recruiting Researcher to join its Executive Recruiting Team (ERT). This position offers a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the company by identifying and cultivating leadership talent capable of propelling Google into its next phase of innovation. As a key member of the People Operations team, you will be responsible for understanding and navigating talent markets, engaging high-caliber executives, and partnering closely with leadership to influence Google’s most strategic hiring initiatives.
This role is available in Austin, TX; Atlanta, GA; or Chicago, IL. You will have the opportunity to specify your preferred work location during the application process.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in research or recruiting within an executive search firm or in-house recruiting environment
- At least 1 year of experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and industry publications for market mapping and talent identification
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in all facets of executive recruiting: outreach, engagement, evaluation, and presentation
- Demonstrated ability to improve both team and individual performance while maintaining a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Proven ability to deliver high-value executive services, including board placement
- Fast learner with the ability to grasp complex subject matter and understand new markets, business initiatives, and functional roles quickly
- High levels of accountability, authenticity, and integrity
- Exceptional consultative and influencing skills, particularly with executive-level stakeholders
About the Role
As an Executive Recruiting Researcher, you will play a crucial role in identifying leadership candidates for mission-critical roles across Google’s diverse business areas. You will be expected to develop and execute sourcing strategies, manage multiple executive-level projects, build long-lasting relationships with top-tier talent, and collaborate with executive recruiters to guide the search process.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop Search Strategies: Create and execute robust sourcing and search strategies tailored to executive searches, particularly within technical domains like Engineering and Product Management.
- Talent Mapping and Market Analysis: Leverage sourcing tools and industry publications to map competitive talent landscapes and build detailed market intelligence.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with executive recruiters and business leaders to advise on talent availability, hiring challenges, and competitive insights.
- Project Management: Lead search efforts with effective project management skills, ensuring timelines and candidate pipelines remain on track.
- Relationship Building: Establish long-term, trust-based relationships with high-potential executives to foster future engagement.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute ideas for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of sourcing processes, tools, and team collaboration.

Salary and Benefits
- Base Salary Range: $107,000 – $153,000 (based on experience, skills, and preferred location)
- Bonus & Equity: Eligible for annual performance bonus and equity grants
