As a Management Trainee – Buyer (Triaging), you will play a pivotal role in streamlining procurement processes, ensuring timely routing of purchase requests, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Your expertise will contribute to optimizing the sourcing and buying operations, enhancing efficiency, and driving value for the business.
💪 Responsibilities
✅ Efficient Procurement Management:
- Triage incoming purchase requests and ensure they are correctly categorized and assigned to the appropriate buying channels.
- Work closely with sourcing and procurement teams to improve workflow efficiency.
✅ Strategic Decision-Making:
- Evaluate business requests to determine potential cost-saving and vendor consolidation opportunities.
- Advise stakeholders on the best sourcing routes for procurement.
✅ Process Optimization:
- Ensure seamless management of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes.
- Implement innovative strategies to enhance transactional buying operations.
✅ Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
- Partner with sourcing buyers to identify and recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to streamline procurement activities.
✅ Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Leverage data analytics to generate insights and support procurement decision-making.
- Prepare and present reports on procurement performance and efficiency improvements.
✅ Compliance & Confidentiality:
- Maintain strict adherence to procurement policies and regulatory guidelines.
- Ensure confidentiality and security of procurement-related data.
🎓 Qualifications & Skills Required
📚 Educational Background
- Bachelor’s Degree in any field (Master’s degree or technical qualifications preferred).
👨🎓 Work Experience
- Relevant experience in Procure-to-Pay (P2P) or Source-to-Pay (S2P) operations.
- Experience in transactional buying, sourcing, and procurement.
📝 Technical Skills
- Proficiency in procurement ERP systems (e.g., Coupa, Ariba).
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience with data analysis, reporting, and automation tools is a plus.
🔧 Soft Skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset.
