Key Responsibilities for Finance & Accounting Roles
1. Accounts Payable (AP):
- You will be responsible for reviewing and processing invoices, ensuring all issues are resolved, and that invoices are paid on time.
- You will learn and use important accounts payable concepts like the 3-way match (Purchase Order, Invoice, and Goods Receipt Note).
- You’ll process both PO and non-PO invoices and handle utilities invoice processing.
- Using software like SAP or Navision, you will ensure that invoices are processed correctly.
2. Record to Report (R2R):
- In this role, you will be part of the month-end closing process and help ensure that financial records are accurate.
- You will use systems like SAP and Blackline for reconciliations, ensuring that key and non-key accounts match up.
- You will handle recurring journal entries (like accruals and prepaids) and assist with non-standard journal entries when necessary.
3. Cash Applications & Collections:
- As part of the cash applications team, you will be responsible for posting customer payments from lockboxes into their accounts.
- You will also help with resolving any unpaid or unidentified payments and ensure that cash is posted accurately.
- In collections, you will work to collect overdue payments by contacting customers over the phone or arranging payment plans.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- You must have a B.Com degree (Freshers are welcome to apply).
- While prior accounting experience is an advantage, it is not required.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills are a plus.
