Role Overview: Data Scientist
Are you passionate about data and solving real-world business problems using AI and ML? Do you love exploring new solutions and transforming insights into action? If yes, then Meesho is looking for a dynamic Data Scientist to join our team!
As a Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in harnessing data-driven insights to improve user experience, enhance seller success, and optimize revenue streams. You will be at the forefront of developing advanced machine learning models and AI-driven solutions to solve complex challenges in an untapped e-commerce market.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop state-of-the-art ranking and recommender systems that understand user behavior and preferences, delivering the most relevant products across multiple touchpoints.
- Build and deploy computer vision solutions to help sellers list their products efficiently and optimize product discovery.
- Detect fraud patterns and enhance security measures to make order fulfillment more efficient.
- Create ML applications for Ads and Monetization, balancing seller ROI, user experience, and revenue generation.
- Develop predictive models for demand forecasting to optimize supply chain and operational planning.
- Run experiments, analyze data, and improve product usability to identify new growth opportunities.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and business stakeholders, to align AI-driven solutions with organizational goals.
- Implement best practices for model lifecycle management, including model governance, validation, and monitoring.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision.
- Hands-on experience with Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, SQL.
- Proficiency in hypothesis testing, statistics, and linear algebra.
- Strong grasp of ML algorithms such as XGBoost, Random Forest, Gradient Boosting, etc.
- Experience:
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in data science roles.
- Prior experience in recommender systems, graph ML, and large multimodal models is a plus.
- Knowledge of big data tools like Apache Spark, Flink is preferred.
Preferred Skills (Bonus Points!)
- Experience in building scalable AI/ML pipelines.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools like Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and TeamCity.
- Knowledge of Graph Neural Networks (GNNs), diffusion models, and NLP.
- Expertise in video processing, image recognition, and multimodal learning.
- Experience working in tech and product-driven teams.
