🎯 Role Overview: What Is a Data Risk Senior Manager?
As a Data Risk Senior Manager in Strategy & Consulting, you will be instrumental in leading data governance, risk, compliance, and AI-enabled solutions for Fortune 500 clients. This role requires vision, leadership, and expertise in creating robust frameworks that enhance transparency, quality, and decision-making.
You’ll be the go-to advisor for top financial institutions, modernizing their data landscapes while ensuring regulatory compliance and innovation readiness.

- Lead the design of enterprise data strategies for finance, risk, and compliance functions.
- Enable AI readiness and modern analytics environments.
- Develop data product models that align with functional needs.

- Implement transparent data movement frameworks.
- Establish data lineage mapping to increase executive confidence.
- Lead data quality and control initiatives to ensure data reliability.

- Utilize tools for metadata capture, control automation, and compliance analytics.
- Drive cloud migration and data modernization projects.
- Integrate GenAI and machine learning into data ecosystems.
🤝 4. Partner with Executives
- Engage with C-level clients (CFOs, CROs, CCOs, and CDOs).
- Translate business problems into technical solutions.
- Lead strategic conversations around data governance and risk.

- Manage teams, timelines, and budgets across complex projects.
- Develop proposals and client presentations that win new business.
- Contribute to practice growth and internal innovation initiatives.
🧾 Required Qualifications
To qualify for this role, you must have:
✅ Core Experience
- 4+ years in finance, risk, and compliance consulting (preferably from a leading firm).
- 7+ years working in finance, risk, and/or compliance with at least one specialization below:
- Data Strategy & Governance
- Data Quality & Controls
- Transparency and Lineage
- AI-enabled Data Modernization
🧠 Functional Knowledge (Preferred in Any or All)
- Finance: Treasury, forecasting, and balance sheet management.
- Risk: Financial/non-financial risk, tech risk, operational resiliency.
- Compliance: KYC, AML, fraud detection, consumer protection.
📚 Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
🌟 Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience in GenAI technologies or AI governance.
- Prior work in banking, capital markets, or insurance.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks: BCBS, CCAR, SEC, Dodd-Frank, FINRA, etc.
- Experience in operating model transformation, both front- and back-office.
