🔧 Position Overview: Maintenance Supervisor
As a Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll be the hands-on leader coordinating the repair, reliability, and ongoing maintenance of critical machinery, vehicles, and equipment in a fast-paced protein production environment. 💼 Key Responsibilities
As a Cargill Maintenance Supervisor, you will play a dual role — managing your team while being actively involved in hands-on technical tasks. Responsibilities include:
⚙️ Operations & Equipment Management
- Operate, monitor, and maintain industrial machines, tools, and production equipment
- Ensure effective use of plant resources, labor, tools, and assets
- Apply predictive and preventive maintenance techniques to reduce equipment failure
📅 Planning & Scheduling
- Plan, prioritize, and manage work orders and maintenance schedules
- Coordinate maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency
- Oversee small to moderately complex repair projects
👥 Team Leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and coach maintenance technicians and support staff
- Perform performance reviews, participate in hiring decisions, and manage team development
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence
🔎 Compliance & Analysis
- Support internal and external audit compliance processes
- Lead root cause analysis to identify and resolve recurring maintenance issues
- Stay updated with industry best practices and integrate them into operations
📌 Additional Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on tasks alongside team members
- Collaborate with other departments (Production, Safety, HR, etc.)
- Maintain documentation and records for maintenance and safety protocols
🎯 What You Bring to the Table

✅ Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on maintenance experience in manufacturing or plant operations
- Experience in audit compliance and root cause analysis
🌟 Preferred Qualifications
- Supervisory experience (1+ year) in a similar environment
- SAP or computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) experience
- Mechanical or electrical troubleshooting background
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and industrial maintenance protocols
