Location: Brooklyn, NY
Job Type: Full-Time (Permanent)
Work Mode: Onsite (5 days a week)
Salary Range: $103,330 – $128,656 per year
(Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and location.)
Key Responsibilities
As a Java Developer at Capgemini, you will play a crucial role in developing, maintaining, and optimizing Java-based applications. Your primary responsibilities will include:
✅ Analyzing existing Informatica workflows and SQL logic to understand business requirements and technical specifications.
✅ Translating SQL logic into Java-based transformations for seamless data migration.
✅ Collaborating with stakeholders, including tax engineers and developers, to ensure successful migration and deployment of applications.
✅ Reviewing and updating existing documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
✅ Performing testing and debugging to ensure quality and efficiency in migrated Java applications.
✅ Ensuring best coding practices, optimization of ETL performance, and effective data handling.
✅ Working closely with the Tax Ops team to maintain compliance with data governance standards.
✅ Implementing automation and process improvements to enhance development efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following skills:
🔹 5+ years of strong experience in Java development.
🔹 Proficiency in SQL scripting and database analysis.
🔹 Hands-on experience with Informatica ETL processes and data transformations.
🔹 Understanding of database management systems (DBMS) such as Oracle, DB2, or MySQL.
🔹 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimize workflows.
🔹 Experience in enterprise-level Java-based application development.
🔹 Excellent communication skills to interact with business and technical teams.
🔹 Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Preferred Skills
While not mandatory, the following skills will be an added advantage:
🔹 Experience in data migration projects.
🔹 Knowledge of tax-related data processing.
🔹 Understanding of ETL performance optimization techniques.
🔹 Hands-on experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot.
