The Disability & Leave Services (DLS) Team is building a best-in-class professional services program to handle leave of absence, disability, and accommodation services for Amazon employees, job seekers, and candidates globally.

As an LOA Case Manager, you will be responsible for providing holistic case management for employees experiencing various leave and disability events. You will be the single point of contact throughout the employee’s leave journey, ensuring they receive support, resources, and compliance guidance.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

Manage Leave & Disability Cases: Respond to inquiries regarding leave and disability benefits and provide employees with the necessary guidance.

Case Review & Adjudication: Assess medical documentation and determine eligibility for leave in compliance with Amazon policies, federal and state laws.

Proactive Issue Resolution: Identify and remove barriers that employees may face before, during, or after their leave event.

Compliance & Policy Adherence: Ensure case handling aligns with legal and company standards.

Stakeholder Communication: Keep employees and business partners informed with timely updates.

Data Management: Maintain accurate records and documentation for each case.

Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Legal, Payroll, Safety, Benefits, and third-party administrators.

Facilitate Smooth Returns: Support employees transitioning back to work with effective ramp-back plans.

Provide Training & Guidance: Educate managers on leave policies and employee needs.

Sensitive Case Handling: Address employee concerns with empathy and discretion.

📝 Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum 2+ years in customer service, HR, case management, or leave & disability management.
Tech Proficiency: Intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

🌟 Preferred Qualifications

⭐ Knowledge of US Leave of Absence (LOA), Disability Laws (ADA/ADAAA), and FMLA.
⭐ Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple cases.
⭐ Experience using case management systems to track leave eligibility.
⭐ Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
⭐ Background in HR, Benefits, or Employee Relations.

🕒 Work Schedule

🔹 Shift: Rotational (24×7 shift environment; changes based on business needs).
🔹 Weekly Off: Two consecutive days off, which may change every 3-4 months.
