Job Overview
ADP is hiring a Sales Representative (Associate District Manager) for Small Business Services. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with clients and prospects within a defined geographic territory. Your primary focus will be selling payroll, tax, human resources, benefits, and additional business solutions to small businesses (1-49 employees).

Key Responsibilities
- Sales and Business Development: Identify and engage potential clients, schedule appointments, and present ADP solutions tailored to their needs.
- Client Acquisition: Target small businesses and secure new client accounts by understanding their unique requirements and providing expert solutions.
- Account Management: Strengthen relationships with existing clients, upsell additional services, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Networking and Lead Generation: Cultivate business relationships through networking, referrals, and partnerships with established business contacts.
- Solution Selling: Understand ADP’s full suite of HCM products and communicate the value to potential customers.
- Sales Strategy Implementation: Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed quotas.
- Market Research: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
- Compliance and Ethics: Maintain ADP’s highest ethical standards in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. Experience and sales acumen are more important.
- 1-2 years of sales, marketing, business development, or related experience (internships count!).
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to generate leads and close deals in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Resilience and self-motivation – ability to handle objections and rejection with a positive attitude.
- Proficiency in using sales technology to enhance customer engagement and relationship management.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a sales-driven culture.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (as the role involves in-person meetings with clients).
Nice-to-Have:
- Previous experience in B2B sales, payroll services, HR solutions, or SaaS sales.
- Prior experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred).
- Strong knowledge of social media for sales and networking.
- Military background with teamwork, adaptability, and leadership skills is a plus.
