As a Business Insurance Account Executive (Surety), you will be a trusted advisor, delivering insurance and risk management solutions to clients in niche industries. Your role is vital in building long-term relationships, leading service teams, and providing thought leadership in your domain.

You’ll represent MMA Midwest, championing value through a client-centric approach, while influencing the industry with strategic insights and collaborative innovation.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

🧠 Thought Leadership & Industry Expertise

  • Stay informed on industry-specific risks, regulations, and trends.
  • Anticipate client challenges and propose value-driven solutions across service platforms.
  • Promote MMA’s industry presence through speaking engagements, writing, and networking.
  • Identify service enhancements aligned with client value and strategic direction.

🤝 Relationship Management

  • Build strong internal and external relationships through diplomacy and emotional intelligence.
  • Negotiate effectively while maintaining trust and rapport.
  • Resolve high-tension client situations calmly and professionally.

📈 Sales & Client Growth

  • Use the MMA Midwest sales process to evaluate client exposures and uncover growth opportunities.
  • Deliver compelling presentations customized to client needs and industry context.
  • Understand client decision-making processes and act to retain at-risk accounts.
  • Drive cross-selling opportunities across insurance, employee benefits, and risk management.

📊 Client Service Execution

  • Analyze coverage, claims, and financials to craft tailored service plans.
  • Collaborate with internal experts to deliver value across specialties.
  • Monitor and track service delivery with actionable insights and reporting.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of insurance markets and carrier programs.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Team Leadership & Mentorship

  • Foster a high-performing team culture with motivation and recognition.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to align on client needs and deliverables.
  • Mentor team members and support development of new producers.
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and process improvement initiatives.
  • Set and manage activity goals through structured business planning.

📚 Required & Preferred Qualifications

✅ Required

  • Active Producer License in your state (Fire/Casualty or Life/Health).
  • A proven ability to meet and exceed objectives in a professional setting.

🌟 Preferred

  • Prior experience as an Account Executive or client-facing consultant.
  • Industry certifications such as CPCU, CEBS, or ARM.

💸 Compensation & Benefits

💵 Base Salary:

$90,100 – $167,900
Determined based on location, skills, experience, education, and certifications.
