Role Purpose – Wipro

The primary objective of the Business Analyst – L4 role is to act as a liaison between clients and Wipro’s delivery teams. This position requires a deep understanding of customer requirements, translating them into actionable insights, and ensuring the delivery of optimal solutions. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across various projects.

Key Responsibilities – Wipro

  1. Customer Requirements Gathering and Engagement

  • Interface with Clients: Engage with client partners to comprehend RFP/RFI requirements, ensuring a thorough understanding of both stated and unstated needs.
  • Documentation: Develop detailed scope documents, capturing functional and non-functional requirements, and ensuring clarity in features and specifications.
  • Workflow Analysis: Construct workflow charts and diagrams to study system capabilities, facilitating a clear visualization of processes.
  • Collaborative Design: Work closely with internal teams, including project managers, pre-sales, tech leads, and architects, to formulate timely and accurate responses to RFPs/RFIs.
  • Financial & Operational Impact: Analyze and communicate the potential financial and operational implications of proposed changes, ensuring stakeholders are well-informed.
  • Client Feedback Loop: Maintain regular communication with clients to gather feedback on proposed solutions, making necessary adjustments to designs based on their input.
  • Solution Demonstration: Empower clients by presenting proposed solutions or prototypes, ensuring they align with business objectives.
  • Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with clients, aiming to optimize business integration and identify opportunities for lead generation.
  1. Engagement with Delivery Teams

  • Feedback Integration: Provide delivery teams with client feedback on proposed solutions, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Test Case Review: Assess test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage of customer requirements, facilitating high-quality deliverables.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough analyses to understand the underlying causes of issues in proposed solutions, demos, or prototypes.
  • Change Management: Implement and manage new change requests, ensuring they cater to evolving customer needs and requirements.
  • Quality Assurance Support: Collaborate with QA teams to provide timely inputs and feedback, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
  • Integration Testing: Lead integration and user acceptance testing to validate implemented solutions, aiming for a 100% success rate.
  • Data Modeling: Utilize data modeling practices to analyze findings, designing and developing improvements and changes as necessary.
  • Resource Utilization: Ensure optimal utilization by studying system capabilities and understanding business specifications.
  • Solution Compilation: Consolidate the entire response or solution proposed for RFPs/RFIs before presenting it to the customer.
  1. Support to Project Management

  • Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers and principal consultants to define and plan project milestones, phases, and elements involved.
  • Challenge Assumptions: Critically assess and challenge delivery teams’ assumptions to ensure successful execution of plans.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Strive to ensure customer satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality, timely solutions.
  1. Domain Expertise and Knowledge Sharing

  • Knowledge Sharing: Engage with other Business Analysts to share expertise, enhancing domain knowledge across the vertical.
  • Thought Leadership: Author whitepapers, research papers, and points of view, sharing insights with the broader consulting community.
  • Use Case Development: Identify and create use cases for different projects or accounts that can be leveraged at the organizational level for business enhancements.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to provide the latest inputs into projects, ensuring customer delight and project relevance.

Performance Metrics – Wipro

  • Customer Engagement and Delivery Management:
    • Client satisfaction scores (PCSAT)
    • Utilization percentage achievement
    • Number of leads generated from business interactions
    • Accuracy in documenting customer requirements
    • Feedback from project managers
    • Quality and timeliness of process flow diagrams
    • Percentage of deal solutioning completed within the timeline
    • Velocity generated
  • Knowledge Management:
    • Number of whitepapers or research papers written
    • Number of user stories created
    • Percentage of proposal documentation completed and uploaded into the knowledge repository
    • Number of reusable components developed for proposals during the quarter

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
    • Postgraduate degree is a plus.
  • Experience:
    • 5–8 years of experience in business analysis, preferably within IT services and consulting.
    • Proven track record in handling RFPs/RFIs and client engagements.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in data modeling and analysis tools.
    • Familiarity with workflow charting and diagramming tools.
    • Understanding of system capabilities and business specifications.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and projects simultaneously.
