The Opportunity: Senior Manager, HR Communications

As the Senior Manager, HR Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic communication initiatives that engage and inform Dexcom’s global workforce. Reporting to the Enterprise Communications department, you will collaborate closely with HR leadership to develop and implement communication strategies that support organizational goals and enhance the employee experience.​

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Communication Partnership: Serve as the lead strategic communications partner to global HR leadership, providing counsel and support for HR programs and initiatives.​
  • Executive Communications: Provide executive communication support to the Chief Human Resources Officer, crafting messages that align with company values and objectives.​
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work in partnership with the Corporate Communications team to address companywide initiatives related to the employee experience.​
  • Communication Metrics and Reporting: Develop and maintain reporting structures to measure the effectiveness of HR communication programs, using data to inform strategy and optimize future campaigns.​
  • Content Development: Write, edit, and proofread a variety of communication materials, ensuring alignment with corporate messaging and brand guidelines.​
  • HR Program Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of HR’s global structure, programs, and objectives to proactively plan and execute effective communications.​
  • Best Practices Implementation: Stay informed about best practices in communication tools and strategies, providing guidance to HR leaders and executives on optimizing the employee experience.​
  • Team Leadership: Hire, train, and develop HR/internal communications professionals, fostering their growth as strategic partners and communications leaders.​

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, or a related field.​
  • Experience: Minimum of 13 years of industry experience, with at least 5-8 years in people management roles.​
  • Skills:
    • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.​
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.​
    • Proficiency in developing and executing communication strategies.​
    • Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with senior leadership.​
    • Experience in measuring and analyzing communication effectiveness.​
