Position Summary
Are you a results-driven professional with a passion for optimizing business operations and enhancing efficiency? Deloitte is looking for an experienced Business Operations Specialist to join our Technology Innovation team in Honolulu, Hawaii. In this role, you will work closely with clients, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams to streamline processes, implement best practices, and drive operational excellence.
As a Business Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying inefficiencies, recommending improvements, and ensuring the smooth execution of core business functions. Your expertise will contribute to mission-critical projects that directly impact Deloitte’s public sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
As a Business Operations Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement
- Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for optimization.
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Provide insights and recommendations on resource allocation, workforce planning, and project execution.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with multiple business units to streamline daily operations.
- Serve as a liaison between technical teams, management, and clients.
- Coordinate strategic initiatives to improve overall operational performance.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Develop detailed reports and presentations to communicate operational insights to stakeholders.
- Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies using advanced analytical tools.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to federal regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
- Assess risks associated with operational changes and develop mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes, changes, and compliance-related activities.
Client Support & Business Advisory
- Provide guidance on best practices for business operations and technology integration.
- Assist in the development of training programs for employees and stakeholders.
- Support organizational change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new processes.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 4-10 years of relevant experience in business operations, process improvement, or consulting.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Experience with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, or Monday.com.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL) is a plus.
- Clearance Requirement: Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
- Legal Requirement: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following additional qualifications will have an advantage:
- Certifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP®)
- Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt or higher)
- Industry Experience:
- Experience working with Department of Defense (DoD) or federal agencies.
- Knowledge of government contracting, procurement, and compliance regulations.
- Technology & Automation:
- Experience with business process automation tools such as UiPath, Blue Prism, or Power Automate.
- Understanding of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
