About the Role
Uber is seeking a Strategic Operations Associate to join our US & Canada Mobility Operations team. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy strategic planning, working cross-functionally, and managing large-scale operational projects.
As a Strategic Operations Associate, you will analyze vast amounts of data to optimize Uber’s marketplace, balance demand and supply, improve rider and driver experiences, deploy incentives, and enhance operational efficiency. This is a highly dynamic and impactful role where you’ll influence business decisions at scale.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic Ownership
- Develop, lead, and implement strategies that drive Uber’s business priorities.
- Drive initiatives to improve the Uber mobility marketplace and user experience.
- Identify and capitalize on new opportunities to enhance operational efficiency.

Business Influence & Problem-Solving
- Monitor, analyze, and interpret operational and financial metrics.
- Identify market trends and customer behavior insights to drive decision-making.
- Assess risks and develop actionable strategies to address them.

Process Optimization
- Streamline and automate core operational processes to improve efficiency.
- Optimize the execution of promotions, driver incentives, and rider offers.
- Develop frameworks to measure performance and continuously improve outcomes.

Product Improvement & Data Analytics
- Collaborate with Product teams to implement new features and process improvements.
- Leverage data to assess product performance and recommend enhancements.
- Use SQL, Python, and statistical tools to analyze Uber’s marketplace dynamics.

Stakeholder Management
- Work cross-functionally with teams in operations, marketing, policy, legal, and customer support.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership teams.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in investment banking, consulting, business intelligence, or strategy roles.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data visualization, modeling, etc.).
- Experience in fast-paced, data-driven environments with a strong analytical approach.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SQL, Python, R, Stata, or similar statistical tools.
- Background in high-growth operations or startup environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data insights.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and execute in fast-paced environments.
