Job Overview
As a PPSM Associate specializing in Record to Report (Account Reconciliations), you will play a pivotal role in financial reporting, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations. This role demands precision, problem-solving, and a keen understanding of accounting principles. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with financial regulations and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reconciliation: Conduct account reconciliations, ensuring all financial transactions are accurate and comply with internal policies.
- Journal Entries: Process and review journal entries for financial accuracy and completeness.
- Balance Sheet Management: Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Cash Forecasting: Assist in preparing cash flow forecasts and support month-end closing activities.
- Compliance & Audits: Support audits by providing required financial reports and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
- Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in financial operations and reporting.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure streamlined financial reporting and account reconciliations.
- Customer Support: Respond to internal and external inquiries related to financial transactions and reports.
- Rotational Shifts: Be prepared to work in rotational shifts as per business requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (BCom), Business Administration (BBA), or Economics.
Experience:
- 1 – 3 years of experience in finance and accounting operations, particularly in Record to Report (R2R), Account Reconciliations, and Journal Entries.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.
- Experience with account reconciliations, taxation, accounts payable, and bank reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and accounting software.
- Familiarity with financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Understanding of Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, and other process improvement methodologies.
