Job Overview
📍 Location: Chicago, Rockford, Quincy, Alton, Bloomington, IL, and nearby regions.
🏠 Work Setup: Hybrid (Field & Home-Based Office). Must reside in Chicago or surrounding areas.
🚗 Travel: Must visit agencies within your territory, with 6-8 overnight travels per month.
As a Territory Sales Representative, you will act as the face of Progressive for independent insurance agencies. Your role involves building relationships, increasing utilization of our services, and driving growth in your assigned territory.

🎯 Develop & Strengthen Relationships – Work closely with independent agencies to expand Progressive’s business portfolio.
💡 Consultative Selling – Understand agency goals and provide customized solutions to increase profitability.
📊 Monitor Performance – Assess and enhance the quality of business growth within your territory.
📈 Strategic Business Development – Identify opportunities, manage objections, and drive successful sales outcomes.
🤝 Trusted Partner – Act as a go-to resource for agencies, ensuring they maximize Progressive’s products.
🛠️ Utilize Technology – Leverage sales tools like CRM, Microsoft Office, and data analysis platforms to streamline work.
What You Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications
✔️ Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED + 6 years of B2B sales or territory management experience.
- OR Bachelor’s Degree + 3 years of experience in sales/territory management.
✔️ Valid Driver’s License & Auto Insurance – Compliance with Progressive’s driving standards.
✔️ Willingness to Travel – Comfortable with regular field visits and occasional overnight stays.
Preferred Skills
🚀 Proven business-to-business sales experience, advocating for growth and customer success.
📅 Ability to work independently and manage weekly schedules efficiently.
📢 Strong negotiation & communication skills to influence agency decisions.
📊 Familiarity with sales tools such as Salesforce and data analytics.
🖥️ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Compensation & Benefits 💰
💲 Salary Range: $95,000 – $113,000 per year.
🎯 Performance Bonus: Gainshare annual cash incentive (up to 30% of eligible earnings based on company performance).
