J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. is seeking a highly skilled professional to join its Commercial & Investment Bank as part of the Operations Automation team. This role requires expertise in process optimization, automation tools, and technology-driven efficiency improvements within financial operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying, developing, and implementing innovative solutions that enhance operational performance and reduce manual processes.

The Operations Automation in JPMorgan professional will work closely with Senior Leadership and various teams to drive innovation through automation and visualization. This role demands a strategic mindset, strong technical capabilities, and an ability to collaborate across multiple business units to ensure seamless automation adoption.

Key Responsibilities – JPMorgan

  1. Innovation Project Management

  • Coordinate and track the identification, prioritization, development, and implementation of innovation projects.
  • Work with senior leaders to define project goals and success criteria.
  • Drive the adoption of intelligent automation tools within the organization.
  • Partner with technology and innovation teams to discover and implement new automation tools and methodologies.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business priorities.
  1. Automation Strategy & Execution

  • Design and implement process automation solutions to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
  • Lead the development and deployment of robotic process automation (RPA) solutions.
  • Optimize workflows using automation technologies like UiPath and Alteryx.
  • Establish and oversee governance models to ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements.
  1. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Keep stakeholders and senior managers informed of automation progress, challenges, and decisions.
  • Present automation strategies and progress updates to senior leadership.
  • Participate in working groups and committees related to automation initiatives.
  • Provide guidance to business units on automation opportunities and best practices.
  1. Training & Knowledge Sharing

  • Develop training strategies to ensure widespread adoption of automation tools.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops for employees to build automation skills.
  • Promote a culture of innovation and automation throughout the organization.
  1. Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure all automation solutions adhere to security, compliance, and risk management protocols.
  • Work with internal audit teams to assess automation risks and implement necessary controls.
  • Maintain detailed documentation for all automation processes and workflows.

Qualifications & Experience – JPMorgan

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Any), Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in operations automation, trading services, or a related role within a financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of financial operations, particularly in broker-dealer services, asset servicing, and settlements.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Process Improvement & Automation: Experience in designing and implementing automation solutions to enhance financial operations.
  • SDLC Management: Experience managing the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for automation projects using JIRA.
  • Alteryx Development: Hands-on experience with Alteryx, including data reconciliation for trade fails and breaks, API integrations, and dataset management.
  • UiPath Development: Proficiency in UiPath Studio, including developing attended and unattended bots for mainframe processes and HTML-based web navigation.
  • Industry Vendor Integration: Experience automating processes with key industry vendors such as DTCC, Euroclear, BNY Mellon, and Broadridge.
  • Production Workflow Management: Ability to manage UiPath Orchestrator queues and assets to optimize production workflows.
  • Deployment & Production Support: Hands-on experience with terminal and ServiceNow (SNOW) for production deployments and go-lives.
  • Data Visualization & Reporting: Strong ability to use Tableau for reporting and dashboard creation, summarizing trade break data effectively.
  • SQL Database Management: Proficiency in SQL to query and manage large financial datasets.
  • Broker-Dealer Operations: Deep understanding of key regulatory and risk concerns affecting broker-dealer operations.
  • AI/ML Integration: Experience developing and integrating AI/ML models into automation processes.
  • Senior Management Communication: Ability to generate executive-level presentations and progress reports for senior leadership.
  • Training & Development: Experience conducting training sessions and leading automation tool adoption initiatives.

Job Location & Travel Requirements – JPMorgan

  • Primary Location: 575 Washington Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07310.
  • This position may require up to 10% domestic travel for training, meetings, and collaboration with other teams.
