🎯 Your Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Agent, you will be the face of American Airlines, ensuring passengers have a smooth and pleasant travel experience. Your role will involve:
✅ Ticketing and Reservations:
- Issuing, reissuing, and refunding passenger tickets.
- Booking, ticketing, and confirming flight reservations.
- Assisting passengers with changes and upgrades.
✅ Check-In and Boarding:
- Performing passenger check-in and assigning seats.
- Managing oversold flights and accommodating passengers accordingly.
- Ensuring smooth and timely boarding procedures.
- Operating gate readers, scanners, and jetways.
- Making important gate announcements to keep passengers informed.
✅ Baggage Handling:
- Checking and tagging baggage at ticket counters.
- Assisting passengers with self-service baggage kiosks.
- Handling lost or misplaced luggage issues.
✅ Customer Assistance:
- Helping passengers with special needs, including non-ambulatory travelers and unaccompanied minors.
- Answering customer inquiries with a professional and courteous attitude.
- Assisting passengers through security checkpoints and customs/immigration.
- Providing gate and flight connection information.
✅ Problem-Solving and Emergency Response:
- Handling flight disruptions, cancellations, and rebookings.
- Assisting passengers during emergency situations.
- Coordinating with airline operations, security, and airport personnel.
🎓 What You Need to Succeed
📌 Minimum Qualifications:
- 🎓 High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent.
- 🌐 Bilingual language skills (required in some locations).
- 🚗 Valid driver’s license (if required by local authorities).
- ✅ Ability to pass FAA criminal background checks for security clearance.
- 🛂 Must be able to obtain necessary airport/customs security badges.
- 💊 Willing to undergo a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
- 🇺🇸 Authorized to work in the U.S.
