Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Vice President, Market/Client Risk Management Manager to join our Conventional Trust Platform team. This is a hybrid role based in Pittsburgh, PA or New York, NY.

Key Responsibilities

📝 Transaction & Deal Management

  • Lead a large team of Transaction or Deal Management professionals, ensuring smooth execution of deal documents and services.
  • Oversee 400-500 transactions annually, representing $20-$50 million in business unit revenue.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and internal policies.

💪 Risk Mitigation & Compliance

  • Ensure legal and operational risk mitigation in all transactions.
  • Manage risk by adhering to BNY Mellon’s preferred processes and procedures.
  • Liaise with Compliance, Audit, Risk, Legal, and Business Risk Committees for risk assessment.

💼 Leadership & Team Management

  • Supervise, mentor, and provide guidance to a team of professionals.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and escalation point for transaction-related issues.
  • Allocate resources strategically to align with business goals.

🌟 Business Growth & Client Engagement

  • Maintain strong client relationships internally and externally.
  • Provide strategic direction to structure and negotiate transactions.
  • Promote consistency in documentation review and deal closing processes.

📈 Performance & Productivity

  • Ensure achievement of financial objectives through operational excellence.
  • Monitor team performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment.

Required Qualifications

🎓 Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in securities servicing, risk management, or related areas.
  • 1-3 years of leadership experience in a management role.
  • Corporate Trust experience with an understanding of debt issuance preferred.

🔎 Skills & Competencies

  • Strong financial acumen with expertise in risk assessment & compliance.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to navigate regulatory frameworks and manage risk effectively.

BNY Mellon offers a highly competitive compensation package, with a base salary ranging from $120,000 to $180,000 per year, subject to market conditions, experience, and location.
